Ha!  This should be no surprise to anyone on this board.  Considering the courts in the U.S. deem that any expectation of privacy by people that use web based email services (gmail, yahoo!, msn, etc.) is invalid.  The courts indicate that you the user are relying on a 3rd party to host your email and that alone removes the expectation of privacy (I butchered it a bit and can't find the link).  Under this argument many smartphones and other sites where one might remotely back-up data or store files (photos, google documents, etc.) are also at risk.  Law enforcement does not need to execute a search warrant on your electronic hardware anymore.  They can just get the information behind your back from your service provider(s).

On cryptome.org, interesting site!

actually Taco it's not just web based email; email is an unsecured medium of communication there is no expectation of privacy with *any* email unless you encrypt it; tbh i fully support that too - email is way to insecure and anything that pushes people toward encrypting there email is a good thing!

I still think encrypting is too complicated for me... maybe I can get my brother to figure it out. He is responsible for all my computer stuff now... which frustrates him... a lot. :)
